Swan Valley Lodging

The Old Irwin Lodge is located in beautiful Swan Valley, Idaho.  Swan Valley is located in the Southeast Idaho region known as the Yellowstone-Teton Territory.  The valley and surrounding mountains are simply one of nature's grand creations.

The South Fork of the Snake River accentuates the natural beauty of Swan Valley, which is renowned as one of the best fly fishing locations in North America.  Swan Valley attracts fly fishing enthusiasts from far and wide.  Fishermen interested in Swan Valley lodging are expected guests at the Old Irwin Lodge.

In addition to fly fishing. the Snake River also provides flat and white-water rafting, canoeing, and kayaking.  The Old Irwin Lodge provides the Swan Valley lodging and activity opportunities to help our guests take advantage of the many recreational activities that Swan Valley has to offer.

Swan Valley is the natural habitat of a wide variety of wildlife.  Eagles, ospreys, mule and white tail deer, elk, big horn sheep and moose are just a few of the unique birds and animals found along the Snake River and in the Yellowstone-Teton Territory.  For those who enjoy hiking, backpacking, and climbing activities, you will assuredly have a chance to view the wildlife indigenous to the area.

The Old Irwin Lodge is the perfect Swan Valley lodging destination to experience nature's beauty, wildlife and activities.  The Old Irwin Lodge is located just far enough away from the swarms of tourists yet close enough to conveniently experience Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks that are just over an hour away.

Throughout this photo gallery, you will see pictures out our back door in Swan Valley, Idaho.  Besides the famous South Fork of the Snake River and Fall Creek Falls, you will see photos from the Palisades Creek Trail in Targhee National Forest.  Along the trail, rugged mountain spires guide the way while beautiful wildflowers greet you during your journey towards the creek’s headwaters; the Upper and Lower Palisades Lakes.  While the lakes barely make a sound in the calm mountain air, the wildlife is abundant.  A Bull Moose quenches its thirst in the mid-day sun, while chipmunks forage around the boulders searching for their next meal.  After “exploring” our photo gallery, we encourage you to stay at The Old Irwin Lodge and experience for yourself why we call this special area…..home.  The Lodge would like to thank Charlie & Wendy Lemmon, Walter & Vicke Smith, Rick Caudle, Jim Vetter and Chuck Scott for providing us with some of these lovely photographs.
